E-Commerce Phones Home
“I just don’t trust the Internet with our banking information.” I heard this quote just the other day when working with a non-profit organization. So, when fundraising, they asked potential donors to hand write a check and mail it, providing their own envelope and postage. There are so many more payment processessing options than the old 'check in the mail' system. If you want to receive money, make it easy for people to give it. According to the recent trends unveiled at the Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition 2010, payment management and processing are a top focus in the e-commerce realm. Providing customers with creative and secure ways to make purchases or online donations are key.
BSG Clearing now provides Bill2Phone merchant solutions. Customers who are concerned about identity theft can apply their transactions to a phone bill instead of a credit card. According to their website, “Bill2Phone gives e-commerce merchants and digital goods providers an alternative payment method which increases sales and provides access to a market of more than 100 million customers.”
Providing customers with this capability might help ease the anxiety in online shopping and prove to be a unique feature on your website. Now that we can have coupons texted to our cell phone, who knows what else we’ll be able to charge to our phone bill. Groceries?!

I'd be careful when looking into this type of technology. A recent Consumer Reports article highlights some of the things that can go wrong with this type of transaction and company. Cell phone bills are already difficult enough to read. Until my billing statements are cleaned up, I probably won't be making any purchases via my cell phone anytime soon. http://bit.ly/bFFjNH

Great find Jay (and you need to get a Gravatar brother).
I would rather just pay with my trusty American Express for most situations (loving the cash back), but for donations, there is something to be said for the barrier to donating.
After watching a commercial for disaster relief, I'm betting that people who are moved to donate are more inclined to send a simple text message right there and then as opposed to firing up their laptops, finding the site, and entering their billing information.
This model seemed to have worked for the Haiti crisis, with the American Red Cross raising over $10 million through text messages: http://bit.ly/8gcASz

I am agree with that When it comes to the design and development of a logo for your business, you really will want to make sure that you cover your bases on both fronts. You will want to make certain that the design of your logo is undertaken in such a way so that it can be utilized with both conventional and Web marketing approaches.
